Father's Day

Father's Day will be here soon (June 17)! If you are like me, you will be struggling for unique ideas for your father/husband/grandpa...I always have a hard time with this! (Is it me or are girls just easier to shop for?).

Now that I have Craft Corner, I no longer struggle for gift ideas because my Crafters have provided the shop with so many amazing options for all occasions, all age groups, and for males and females. Here, I have put together some gift ideas for Father's Day!

March Vendor of the Month

I am happy to introduce you to Angela & Rene, otherwise known as 'Sweet Bobbins.' They have a variety of products in the shop and from day 1 I have been in LOVE. Their use of really fun and vibrant fabrics caught my eye right off the bat and the quality of their products is top notch.

A little about Sweet Bobbins (per Angela):

'Sweet Bobbins is operated by myself, Angela, my husband Michael, and my cousin Rene. Rene has infinite amounts of sewing knowledge and skills. We both learned to sew from her mother, who made wedding dresses for 30 plus years.

The pro of having Rene on board is that, besides all the help she offers, we both get to travel back and forth across the country and visit each other! We catch up on back stock and always try to create something new. She is expected at my house any day and I'm estatic!

We also contract with local moms for sewing and cutting jobs. I feel like it is a great way to help local families. The idea of a factory just seems too commercialized - we like being WHAM's - work at home moms and giving other moms the freedom to stay home with their little ones.

We love making all of our products. We each have our favorites. Rene loves diaper pail liners and nursing covers; I loe making wet bags and washcloths. We both love that sewing is measurable work. At the end of the day, you can look back and say, "WOW, we made all of this!"

June 13th will be our 3 year anniversary! A lot has changed since our humble beginnings, but we still love what we do! We are currently in 6 countries and 16 boutiques! We love letting our little company grow organically.

We have some big changes coming up. We just ordered our first line of organic fabric. And, we will be offering kitchen wet bags and GYM/yoga bags with the Waterproof lining.

Sweet Bobbins

Sweet Bobbins makes adorable items for babies and their mamas. First up are their bibs (toddler and infant). These are so sweet, and the great thing about them is that they have snaps versus velcro, and two adjustable options. I have also received customer feedback that they wash very well.

February Vendor of the Month

Meet our February Vendor of the Month!

Dean Soares is a very talented wood crafter. I am blessed to have his items in the shop. Here is a little bit about Dean.

'I'm Dean Soares, raised in Hastings and also lived in North Platte for about 30 years.I retired from construction work and moved back to Hastings.My children and grand children are the joys of my life. I enjoy wood working . Always looking to expand my knowledge of the many different levels of wood working'.

Craft Supply Garage Sale!!!

Craft Corner is putting on a HUGE craft supply garage sale on Saturday, January 21st. It will have scrapbooking supplies, stamping and card making supplies, and lots of other hobby/craft supplies.

It will run from 9am-5pm and will take place at the shop in Blue Hill.
